On the occasion of World Environment Day and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s birthday, a large-scale tree plantation and sapling distribution drive was organized at Loharpur, Banmali village, Dudhi Development Block, Kushinagar under the initiative of Ramgyani Foundation.
The environmental awareness campaign was led by Deoria Lok Sabha MP Shashank Mani Tripathi along with social worker Ojaswi Mishra. During the event, both dignitaries actively participated in planting saplings and distributed fruit-bearing plants among local residents, encouraging everyone to contribute to environmental conservation.
Various species of plants, including Mango, Litchi, Jamun, Guava, Teak (Sagwan), and Poplar, were distributed as part of the plantation drive. The organizers also ensured that women from self-help groups and local villagers received saplings to promote community participation in creating a greener environment.
Speaking on the occasion, MP Shashank Mani Tripathi emphasized that protecting nature is a shared responsibility of every citizen. He stated that initiatives such as “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (One Tree in Mother’s Name) serve as meaningful steps toward preserving nature and inspiring future generations to care for the environment.

Social worker Ojaswi Mishra expressed gratitude to everyone who participated in the campaign and urged people to make tree plantation a regular habit rather than a one-time activity.
